Adderstone Group 

Along with a number of other successful projects, including new tenants moving into the refurbished Gainsborough House (Grey Street) and signing a deal with iQ Student Accommodation to create a 1,390-bed campus near Manors Metro Station, Addersone has also celebrated the transformation of Baja Beach Club.

The nightclub, which was once a popular destination on the Gateshead Quayside has now been completely transformed into Grade A offices titled Pipewell Quay.

Bradley Hall 

This year, Bradley Hall has continued its fast growth within the region. 

The company has employed new highly skilled members of staff from the North East, expanded the circulation of its popular property magazine Portfolio, assisted on a number of investment projects and continued growing the residential sales side of the business.

Broadoak Asset Management 

Most recently, Broadoak advised Waypoint Asset Management in respect of the £4.85m pre-funding and acquisition of Station Place at Merchant Park, Newton Aycliffe.

Station Place will have 50,333 sq ft of new industrial accommodation within two terraces which will be subdivided to provide 10 individual units.

Buccleuch Property 

In the Summer, Buccleuch Property alongside Argon Properties began developing a 60,000 sq ft storage and distribution unit for parcel deliverY service DPD.

The unit will sit on a 10-acre brownfield site which has been undeveloped for 25 years.

GT3 Architects 

Earlier this year, GT3 unveiled its designs for the new £21m leisure centre and library in Morpeth. The new community hub includes a two-storey library, customer services and adult learning classrooms as well as a six-lane 25m swimming pool, a learner pool, spa facilities, a four-court sports hall, a 100 station fitness suite, a spinning studio, a soft play area and a café.

In addition to numerous successful projects, headed up by the practice’s Newcastle office, the company also took away the ‘People Development’ Award at this year’s Constructing Excellence Awards with judges commending the business for growing it’s staff base by 10% whilst implementing a new operations structure.

Haines Watts 

In March, Buckinghamshire-based, Haines Watts announced its committed investment in the North following a recruitment drive of over 20 members of staff within its previous year.

Hyhubs 

Hyhubs’ Haylofts welcomed its first tenant earlier this year. The space, which is adjacent to the Haymarket Travel Interchange features 22 offices, seven meeting rooms and a lecture space.

Lichfields

The Lichfields’ Newcastle office has continued working on large-scale planning projects across the country.

In addition to this, the firm appointed Harvey Emms as Office Lead in Newcastle, whilst Senior Director Jonathan Wallace takes up a position on the company’s board.

Muckle LLP 

Muckle LLP has worked across the UK and internationally to help companies acquire and invest.

Most recently, the business has made a number of significant appointments and extended its Agricultural, Estates and Private Client department to meet the demand of its legal services.

Naylors Gavin Black 

Naylors Gavin Black continued a strong year with a number of lettings and refurbishments hitting the headlines.

This year, the company began its refurbishment of Newcastle’s Churchill House to create large, small and medium office suites.

NewcastleGateshead Quays Development

A number of our DC members have advised, been contracted and are scheduled to start work on the NewcastleGateshead Quays arena, conference and exhibition centre scheme.

Pegasus Group 

Over the last year Pegasus Group has settled into its new offices based at Gainsborough House and has steadily recruited to grow its Newcastle office.

A piece that featured in the news this year was the purchase of Cale Cross House, situated next to the Tyne Bridge. The sale was advised by Senior Director Sandra Manson.

Ryder Architecture

Ryder has been at the forefront of developments within the North East over the last year.

Within the last few months, the business has acquired an interior design company that the business had a long-standing partnership with, won Architectural Practice of the Year at the Building Awards 2021and been a crucial part of the Pilgrim’s Quarter development.

This year Sanderson Weatherall has made key appointments within its Newcastle team.

Todd Milburn Partnership 

A fantastic scheme, Todd Milburn Partnership was appointed this year to help deliver the next stage of the Remaking Beamish Project. 

The project has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and will work with other partners from across the country to help deliver the works.

 

UK Land Estates

UK Land Estates has had a jam-packed year, from double acquisitions on the Team Valley Trading Estate to responding to a clear need within the industrial market for more development.

Within the last month, the company has committed to developing a 45,000 sq ft industrial unit suitable for manufacturing or warehousing in Team Valley, Gateshead.

Womble Bond Dickinson 

Womble Bond Dickinson, which has its largest UK office in Newcastle, joined Developing Consensus this year.

The transatlantic law firm has played a key part in levelling up discussions within the region and have called upon the publishing of the government’s white paper on Levelling Up to be made a key priority.

Youngs RPS

Youngs RPS has further strengthened its management team with internal promotions this year.

The property firm has opened a new office expanding into Darlington, recruited new members of the team and most recently has been appointed to work on the development of 328 residential units to the South of St James Park.
